Arsenal's Nigerian Striker Close To Completing Permanent Move To Sint-Truiden
Published: July 20, 2018Young Nigerian striker, Chuba Akpom is close to completing a switch from Arsenal to Belgian First Division club, Sint-Truiden, Independent UK is reporting.
The 22-year-old who has just one year remaining on the contract he signed with the club is reportedly closing in on a permanent return to the club where he spent the second part of last season.
During his time with Sint-Truiden, the striker impressed with the club, scoring six goals in 16 topflight games before returning to the Emirates Stadium.
Though he has long resumed pre-season training with the Gunners, it is understood he is not in Unai Emery's plans for the activities of next campaign after he was excluded from the team's squad that will travel to Singapore for tour.
According to Independent,the North London club will be looking to receive an estimated £2 million fee from the Canaries for the services of the Hale End Academy product.
