Fenerbahce, Anderlecht Join Race For Manchester United's Nigerian Midfielder Kehinde
Published: June 29, 2018Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce have entered the race to sign Manchester United's Nigerian-born midfielder Tosin Kehinde, according to reports.
Manchester Evening News says Fenerbahce, Anderlecht, Amiens, Red Bull Salzburg and SK Brann are among the teams monitoring the situation of Kehinde with a view to a swoop in the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old has two more days remaining on his contract with United and could end up leaving the club as a free agent but his next club will have to pay training compensation to the Premier League powerhouse.
As exclusively reported by allnigeriasoccer.com, Kehinde has been offered a fresh two-year contract to extend his stay at
Old Trafford but the stumbling block is that he is unhappy over the
length of the deal they gave him and there are no guarantees that he'll
be integrated into the first team next season.
Kehinde, Marcus Rashford, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Scott McTominay and Axel
Tuanzebe represented Manchester United in the UEFA Youth League three years ago and
all these players apart from the Nigerian have gone on to make their
first-team debuts.
He has committed his international future to Nigeria despite his eligibility for England youth teams.
