Everton Loanee Henry Jets Into Germany For Transfer Talks With Borussia Mönchengladbach
Published: May 17, 2018Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru is expected to fly to Germany on Thursday to discuss a move to Borrussia Mönchengladbach, according to reports.
Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws writes on its electronic edition that the Nigeria international will hold talks with Borussia Mönchengladbach's director of sport Max Eberl.
Mönchengladbach are prepared to meet Everton's loan conditions and hope to agree personal terms with Onyekuru at the end of negotiations.
Onyekuru's future at Anderlecht became complicated after he was axed from the Super Eagles provisional roster and he has blamed it on coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck, who stated that the striker is unfit to play which has been disputed by the player.
Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas were interested in a loan deal for the former Eupen whizkid but he prefers a move to the Bundesliga and will start house-hunting when he visits nearby Düsseldorf upon his arrival in Germany.
Onyekuru has not played for Anderlecht since December 22 and a serious knee injury he suffered in that game against Eupen had since kept him on the sidelines.
