Man City's Aguero, Four Argentina Stars Begin Training For World Cup
Published: May 16, 2018One month to their World Cup opener against Iceland, Nigeria's World Cup rivals Argentina have started training at Ezeiza, Buenos Aires.
According to reports in Argentina, including Ole, Sergio Agüero, Javier Mascherano, Manuel Lanzini, Eduardo Salvio and Nicolás Tagliafico were put through their paces by the national team coaches on Wednesday.
The newspaper added that the Manchester City, Hebei China Fortune, West Ham, Benfica and Ajax Amsterdam stars are certain to be named in Argentina's final 23-man roster and some players will not bother showing up since they know they are on the standby list.
Former Barcelona central defender Mascherano was granted permission by his Chinese Super League club a week earlier, with the goal of getting ready with the coaching staff.
The Argentine Federation are giving journalists the chance to see the players in camp train for fifteen minutes on Thursday morning as from 0930 hours.
The Nigerian national team are expected to start training for the World Cup on May 22, two days before the start of Croatia's World Cup get-together.
Victor Moses still has commitments with Chelsea and is unlikely to take part in the Super Eagles first workout in Uyo.
