Official: Ajiboye Parts Company With Brighton & Hove Albion
Published: May 15, 2018Nigerian winger David Ajiboye has parted company with English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Seagulls write on their official website that the 19-year-old has been released by the club following the end of his contract.
Though Ajiboye is departing Brighton & Hove without a single first team appearance to his name, he was an influential member of their U18 team before his promotion to the U23s, for whom he made six appearances in the Premier League 2 Division 2 over the course of the 2017-2018 campaign.
The pacy winger played one game for Brighton in the EFL Trophy, coming off the bench after 67 minutes in their 2-0 loss to MK Dons first team in August 2017.
He was farmed out to loan to Millwall U23s for the second half of the 2017-2018 season.
David Ajiboye is eligible to play internationally for Nigeria, England and Jamaica, and was on the books of Tottenham Hotspur before signing a scholarship with Brighton in 2015.
