Which Of These Seven Players Rohr Manages Through A Proxy Deserve To Make 23-Man Roster?

Abdullahi Shehu and Mikel Agu: The Green Crocodiles have picked up from their terrible dip in form of late of which Mikel Agu has played little or no part in, but seemingly looks to always be in favour with the national team.

Even when handed chances, he has yet to take games by the scruff of the neck and stamp noticeable authority in games. His compatriot, Shehu who joined the Turkish club in the second part of the season is more a popular option with the Nigerian folk due to his instrumental displays for the Eagles in their run to world cup qualification.

Agu: Very few would argue that he is qualified to be getting a look in for the national team.(No)

Shehu: His qualification displays and versatility could just tip the scale in his favour. (Yes)

Oghenekaro Etebo: Would the fact he failed to save Las Palmas from relegation really stand to count against him? That is still in the melting pot. Going by his performances with his Portuguese club, Feirense, Etebo could considerably offer something in Russia.

Truly, the 22-year old did show flashes of his brilliance during the unsuccessful La Liga escape charge and is a viable candidate for the team. (Yes)

Ahmed Musa: As one of the most experienced members in the national team, Musa is an option always worth considering.

The Leicester City flop has tallied 4 goals, albeit from 34 shots, for the Muscovites since he joined the club in the January transfer window.

On the back of his current form and what Nigerians have seen him produce at the grandest of stages, (be it the World Cup or the African Nations Cup), Musa deserves to go the World Cup (Yes).

Brian Idowu: Since making his debut for the national team, Idowu has provided better competition for the Eagles accomplished left-back, Elderson Echiejile and for Amkar Perm, he has equally not fared badly.

More so,  he has been one of the most trusted players for his club in the Russian Premier League.

Classed as the only plausible competitor for the left-back position and have hardly put a foot wrong for the team, Idowu is poised to be part of Nigeria's world cup contingent (Yes).

Henry Onyekuru: The Anderlecht loanee was blowing hot and cold prior to the damaging injury he suffered last year and given that he was not initially assured of a starting spot even when fit, his case looks an easy one to call.

His recuperation has turned out nicely and it is presumed he would be back to action with Anderlecht before the season runs out but would not be match fit for the World Cup and does not deserve a spot. (No).

Moses Simon: The Gent winger is utterly out of form and would hardly deserve a place on Nigeria's Russia plane. Though he played his part in Super Eagles run to world cup qualification, Simon is yet to find the net since December 3, 2017.

His current form is no World Cup form. On merit, he would not come close to laying a glove to any of the team's wingers at Rohr's disposal. (No)
