Plateau United's Raphael Anyagwa Gets Suitors From Belgium, Ukraine
Published: April 24, 2018The General Manager of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Pius Henwan, has admitted to allnigeriasoccer.com that Raphael Anyagwa is being courted by a series of clubs in Europe but refused to disclose the identity of the club.
The highly gifted attacking midfielder has been one of the revelations of the current campaign of the NPFL following his sterling performance for the Peace Boys in the league, the CAF Champions league and the CAF Confederations Cup.
It is rumored the suitors for the former Lobi Stars Man came from Belgium and Ukraine but the identity of the clubs that came for the boy has remained a closely guarded secret at Plateau United.
It will be recalled that Raphael Anyagwa walked walked out of a done deal last year at Portuguese Primeira Liga side Sporting Braga because he wasn't comfortable with the terms.
The deal at that point was secured by Portuguese-based Nigerian Scout Paul Ojo.
Our sources say Ojo is not happy with the player's stubbornness and insistence that things must be done his way but is still hoping to get another deal for the lad.
He is one of the key figures for Plateau United and the management of the club is hoping he will remain with the team at least until the end of the season so that he can help them to get a continental spot.
Plateau United only not too long ago were eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup playoff stage following a 5-2 aggregate defeat to USM Alger of Algeria.
