Tottenham Loanee Eligible For Nigeria Makes EFL Team Of The Week
Published: April 23, 2018Tottenham Hotspur loanee Josh Onomah has been recognized by the English Football League for his outstanding performance this past weekend after making its Team of the Week.
The Aston Villa midfielder helped his team claim a 4-0 win at Ipswich Town, setting up the two goals scored by Lewis Grabban in the second half.
Onomah was one of the midfielders named to the ceremonial Team of the Week along with Daniel Powell (Northampton Town) and Bradley Dack (Blackburn Rovers).
Explaining their choice, the English Football League wrote on their official website : ''Villa eased to a 4-0 win at Portman Road with Onomah the architect — the on-loan Tottenham Hotspur midfielder setting up two goals after the break.''
Born in Enfield, North London, Onomah was an important member of the Young Lions squad that won the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup in South Korea last summer.
The 20-year-old has racked up an impressive 32 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur's first team since his debut against Burnley in January 2015.
