Paul Pogba Shows Concern For Nigerians, Others Being Auctioned Off For N144K
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has shown his concern for Nigerians and other Africans being sold into slavery in Libya.

Last week, CNN witnessed a dozen men, including at least one Nigerian, being sold like commodities-some auctioned off for as little as $400 (N144,000 in Nigerian currency).

Having spent close to two months on the sidelines due to a thigh problem, Pogba celebrated his return to action by scoring and notching an assist in Manchester United's 4-1 thrashing of Newcastle United in a Premier League tie at Old Trafford on Saturday.

And the France international paid tribute to those being auctioned off as slaves in Libya by making a crossed-wrists gesture after finding the net in the 54th minute.

Explaining his celebration, Pogba posted on social media : ''While very happy to be back, my prayers go to those suffering slavery in Libya. May Allah be by your side and may this cruelty come to an end!''

Pogba was born in Lagny-sur-Marne, Seine-et-Marne, France to Guinean parents, and his elder brother Mathias Pogba plays for Guinea's national team.
