Swansea Coach: With Abraham On The Pitch, You Believe You'll Get A Chance...
Published: October 29, 2017Swansea City coach Paul Clement has rued his side's failure to get at least one point from their Premier League clash against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
Sam Clucas put Swansea ahead in the 22nd minute after a lovely assist from Nigerian striker Tammy Abraham, and Ayew would have doubled the lead just before half-time but missed the chance.
''It was a big chance. 2-0 at half-time would have been a totally different situation – these are the fine margins that decide games,'' Clement told swanseacity.com.
''If that had gone in. maybe we would have got a different result.
''What I liked about today was that we were always in the game, right up until the last moment.
''When we have got someone like Tammy Abraham on the pitch you always believe you will get a chance, but unfortunately we didn’t get it today.''
Abraham made his tenth consecutive appearance in the English top-flight against the Gunners, and was watched by England boss Gareth Southgate at the Emirates Stadium.
