QPR Loanee Ebere Eze Buzzing After First Professional Goals
Published: October 09, 2017Queens Park Rangers loanee Eberechi Eze was delighted to score his first professional goals in Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 win at Cambridge United on game week 12 in the EFL League Two on Saturday evening.
It was a five star performance from the Nigerian striker, who opened the scoring two minutes into the second half after he was teed up by Adebayo Akinfenwa before grabbing his second goal in the 57th minute.
''It meant a lot to me. They were my first goals in professional football and I thank God for that,'' Eze told Wycombe Wanderers official website.
''I’m just happy to get the win for the team – I’m buzzing for everyone.''
The 19-year-old netted two long range strikes from a similar range against Cambridge United, and has explained that his extra shooting practice and advice of Matt Bloomfield paid off.
''For the first goal, it came down for me and I just thought I’d take a shot and it found the top corner.
''I watch Blooms a lot and he tells me to work off the big man – it’s a lot easier to have someone like him around and it means I can get high up the pitch.
''For the second one, I’d practised that shot in training with the gaffer. I’ve actually been working on putting power on my shots but I thought I could place this one and it went in,'' Eze concluded.
