Leicester City Fear Ndidi Suffered A Knock Vs Zambia But Midfielder Is Fine
Published: October 09, 2017Leicester City fear one of their important first-teamers Wilfred Ndidi suffered a knock in the closing minutes of Nigeria's 1-0 win over Zambia in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
The central midfielder had to be attended to by Super Eagles medics in added time after suffering some discomfort as he attempted a shot.
''Alex Iwobi’s 73rd minute strike sparked jubilant celebrations for the hosts at Godswill Akpabio Stadium before Ndidi was forced off with a knock in the final seconds,'' Leicester City wrote in their review of the game.
This website has been informed that Ndidi is not an injury doubt for the Foxes ahead of their Premier League clash versus West Brom at the King Power Stadium next Monday.
''Ndidi had a little strain which you can pick even by running up the stairs. He was tired but didn't suffer any injury,'' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''He will be fit to face West Brom next Monday''.
Wilfred Ndidi is presently in Abuja and is expected to fly out to the United Kingdom in the coming hours.
