(Photo)Zambia Fans Land In Uyo & What They Said On Arrival
Published: October 07, 2017Zambia supporters have landed in Uyo to cheer their national team, the Copper Bullets, in potentially the most lucrative game in their history, a World Cup qualifier against Nigeria at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday evening.
RwandAir, the official carrier airline of Rwanda, that brought the approximately 250 fans from Ghana touched down on the Akwa Ibom Airport runaway at 1238 hours.
A couple of fans interviewed fancied their team's chances of qualifying for the Russia 2018 World Cup by beating Nigeria.
''The journey was good, we landed in Nigeria this morning. The match will be tough, all the players in the Zambian team are good. Everybody is in support of the team,'' one of the fans told allnigeriasoccer.com before the bus taking them to the stadium departed the airport.
Another Zambian supporter stated : ''We will win the game, we will beat Nigeria, we are qualifying for the World Cup''.
''It will be a tough one but we are carrying the day,'' another fan added.
The Nigeria vs Zambia match will start at 1700 hours and will be aired live on SuperSport.
