Another Nugget From Ighalo : People Will Still Criticize You No Matter What You Do
Published: October 05, 2017Former Watford star Odion Ighalo was philosophical as always during Thursday's press conference, stating that whatever you do, good or bad, people will always have something negative to say about you and that's life.
In truth, Ighalo is the Super Eagles most in-form striker, having scored 12 goals from 24 league appearances for his Chinese club Changchun Yatai, and he was recalled to the national team after he was omitted from June's African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
''I am happy with my performance, I want to carry on like that both for club and country,'' Ighalo told the Nigerian media, including allnigeriasoccer.com.
''Even when I was not called for the South African game, I understand because the coach said he wanted to see new players and told me to keep working hard and doing what I'm doing in my club which I did.
''Playing week by week in China I am more fit and I'm ready to go.
''It does not matter what you do in life, people will still criticize you. You just have to keep your head cool, keep working and do the best you can. That's what I am doing.''
Odion Ighalo was one of the shining lights in Nigeria's games against Cameroon in September.
