Ex-Man Utd Coach Ferguson Watched Iwobi Vs Doncaster Rovers
Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was among the 44,064 spectators at the Emirates Stadium for the meeting between Arsenal and Doncaster Rovers in the third round of the League Cup on Wednesday night.

Nigeria international Alex Iwobi got some minutes under his belt after he came off the bench in the 76th minute, his fourth appearance in the League Cup since his debut against Sheffield Wednesday in October 2015.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed in his post match interview that he invited Sir Alex Ferguson to watch his son Darren’s team.

''I invited him tonight, you know! Sport is good for that. You fight against each other and with respect,'' Wenger stated.

''I think he was a big personality in the Premier League of course, but I still meet him sometimes in the European meetings.''

Sir Alex Ferguson could have scrutinized another Nigerian player Chuba Akpom against Doncaster Rovers, but the striker remained on the bench for the entirety of the game.
