Six Players Of Nigerian Descent Named In Tottenham Hotspur UYL Squad
Published: September 08, 2017Tottenham Hotspur have announced their squad list for the group stage of the UEFA Youth League, and six players of Nigerian descent have been selected by manager John McDermott.
Goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi, defenders Timothy Eyoma and Jubril Okedina, midfielders Chukwunonso Madueke and Moroyin Omolabi, and the versatile striker Keanan Bennetts have been included in Spurs 40-player roster.
Oluwayemi, Okedina, Madueke and Omolabi are in line to debut for the London club in the prestigious youth competition, while England youth internationals Eyoma and Bennetts have five appearances to their names .
Spurs have been drawn with Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid and APOEL in Group H and will play their home games at Tottenham Training Centre in Enfield, North London.
Last season, Spurs failed to qualify for the knockout rounds of the UEFA Youth League after finishing fourth in their group.
