Published: August 25, 2017Manchester United U23 were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of matches in Premier League 2 at The Lamex Stadium in Hertfordshire on Friday, with three players of Nigerian descent in action.
Tottenham Hotspur's England youth internationals Timothy Eyoma and Keanan Bennetts were joined in the starting line-up by Manchester United's Matthew Olosunde, and the trio put in a full shift for their respective teams.
Marcus Edwards started the onslaught when he fired into the bottom corner from 20 yards out to open the scoring in the 11th minute, and it became 2-0 a minute later courtesy of Tanganga's unstoppable header.
On 25 minutes, Pritchard slotted past goalkeeper Theo Richardson after he was fed by Eyoma to put Spurs three goals to the good.
Olosunde would have reduced the deficit in the closing minutes but his effort hit the post.
