Manchester United Thrashed 3-0 By Inter Milan In The Netherlands
Published: August 05, 2017Manchester United U19s failed to progress to the semifinals of the Otten Cup following their 3-0 loss to Italian outfit Inter Milan in their final group fixture on Saturday afternoon.
The two teams were evenly matched in the first half with no clear cut chances and went in level at the interval.
The game remained deadlocked until the 56th minute when Emmers gave the Italians the lead with a powerful shot from outside the box.
Two minutes later, Merola made it 2-0 with a nice goal, before Odgaard put the result beyond doubt with a third goal in the 59th minute.
Manchester United finished third in Group A and will contest the fifth-sixth place playoff on Sunday, August 6.
