'New Paul Ince', Kehinde Targets Starting Shirt At Manchester United In New Season
Published: July 20, 2017Lagos-born Nigerian midfielder Tosin Kehinde is targeting a starting shirt at Manchester United U23s in the forthcoming season.
Including the Lancashire Senior Cup, the highly-rated youngster recorded 21 appearances for the Red Devils Reserves last season and came off the bench 12 times in those games.
''It was a bit up and down, I didn't start all the games but I was involved a lot. I was involved in the majority of the games so I was happy with that,'' Kehinde told the official website of Manchester United.
"For me, this season, it's just about really securing a place in the starting line-up as often as possible and trying to do my best to progress as a player.
''We did finish on quite a good run of results last year and we're trying to take it into this season. I expect us to do better than last year, especially with the group of players who have come up now from the Under-18s.''
Hailed as the new Paul Ince, the talented Kehinde started on Wednesday night as Manchester United XI were held to a 2-2 draw by Salford City in a pre-season game.
