Chelsea, Spurs Starlets React To England Impressive Win Over Argentina, Send Message To Guinea
Published: May 20, 2017Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Joshua Onomah have reacted to England's impressive 3-0 rout of six-time champions Argentina in their opening game at the Fifa U20 World Cup on Saturday.
Apart from Everton striker Ademola Lookman, all the players of Nigerian descent that traveled to South Korea with the Young Lions were in action and impressed against the South American opponents.
Tomori tweeted : ''Good 3-0 win today vs Argentina✅. Time to recover well and prepare for Guinea⚽️. #U20WC''
Onomah added : ''Good 3-0 win in the u20 World Cup vs Argentina! Now the focus is on Guinea in the next game.''
Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Adam Armstrong and Dominic Solanke secured England's first win in the Fifa U20 World Cup in the past twenty years.
Paul Simpson's side tackle Guinea on Tuesday, May 23, and a win against the Africans will see them qualifying for the knockout stage of the competition.
