Mikel Pays Tribute To John Terry : A Privilege To Play With A Chelsea Legend
Published: April 19, 2017Super Eagles skipper John Obi Mikel has paid tribute to ex-Chelsea teammate John Terry following an announcement on Easter Monday that he'll leave The Blues at the end of the 2016-2017 season.
Mikel spent ten and a half years with Terry at Chelsea before the midfielder moved to Chinese club Tianjin Teda in the January transfer window.
Terry joined Chelsea as a 14-year-old, signed his first professional contract at 17 and then made his first-team debut in the same year.
''It was a privilege to play with you and learn from you. Not only a Chelsea legend, but a true Football legend and a brilliant captain ⚽️???????? Good luck Old Boy #neighbour,” Mikel said on his Instagram page.
The central defender won four Premier League titles, five FA Cups and the Champions League in 22 years at the club.
