Austria Vienna Striker Kayode Scores Career-High 18th Goal Of The Season
Published: April 16, 2017Olanrewaju Kayode helped Austria Vienna return to winning ways after finding the net in their 3-0 rout of Mattersburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon.
Before the contest at Pappelstadion, the capital team had lost their lost three games in all completions and managed only two goals.
After a misplaced pass from Mattersburg defender Thorsten Mahrer, Kayode was fed by attacking midfielder Felipe Pires and the Nigerian slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.
Kayode's 21st minute goal took his tally for the season to 18 goals from 43 matches in all competitions, including 11 in the league.
The ex-Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star is Nigeria's leading scorer in Europe's top divisions this season.
