Mikel Holds Clear The Air Talks With Porto Over His Future
Published: April 12, 2017Portuguese setup Porto have informed former Nigeria U23 trainee Mikel Agu he is in the plans of manager Nuno Espirito Santo ahead of the start of pre-season training for next season, allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed.
Porto have been impressed by the performance of Mikel at Vitoria Setubal FC, where he is on loan until the end of the 2016-2017 campaign.
The central midfielder has held clear-the-air talks with the Porto brass over his future and he has been promised a chance in the first team and won't be loaned out again.
Mikel's contract with the Dragons would have expired in June but he quietly penned a one-year contract extension before joining Club Brugge on loan in summer of 2015.
The 23-year-old has 30 appearances to his name for Vitoria Setubal in the current season, logging 2,446 minutes.
