Anichebe Comes Close To Scoring As Man Utd Seal Routine Win Over Sunderland
Sunderland are doomed for relegation after they suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Manchester United in the English Premier League on Sunday afternoon at the Stadium of Light.

The good news if you a Super Eagles faithful is Victor Anichebe made his first start for the Black Cats in four months, having fully recovered from a hamstring injury.

The ex-Everton striker, who went the distance, almost equalized for his team in the 40th minute but saw his shot saved for a corner by the goalkeeper.

The Red Devils went into the half-time break a goal up thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's goal in the 30th minute.

No Sunderland player had touched the ball as Mkhitaryan netted his fourth Premier League goal less than a minute into the second half, before Rashford gave Manchester United a 3-0 lead in the closing minutes.

Sunderland have been in the bottom three since September and it's looking unlikely that their bad run will end before the end of the season.
