Manchester City Superkid Dele-Bashiru Scores Ndidi-Like Goal Against Chelsea
Published: April 08, 2017Nigerian whizkid Tom Dele-Bashiru was on target in Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Chelsea in the U18 Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the Academy Stadium.
The 17-year-old scored a brilliant goal for the Citizens in the 17th minute, firing low into the bottom corner from 25 yards out.
In their search for the equalizer, Chelsea’s England U18 star of Nigerian descent Tariq Uwakwe was brought on as a substitute before the start of the second half.
In the final fifteen minutes, Dele-Bashiru had a chance to put the game to bed but saw his effort saved by goalkeeper Jared Thompson, before City got their second goal in injury time.
Ex-England U15 skipper Nathaniel Ogbeta came off the bench for Manchester City U18s after 88 minutes.
