Ighodaro Has Few Weeks To Prove His Mettle Or Be Shown The Exit Door By KV Mechelen
Published: April 07, 2017 Belgian First Division A club KV Mechelen are unlikely to renew the contract of Nigeria international Osaguona Ighodaro when it runs out in June.
The coach of the Yellow Reds, Yannick Ferrera, has hinted that he has not been entirely impressed with the striker since his joined the club in August 2016, and he has six more weeks to prove his mettle.
“Right now, the coach doesn’t know if he should retain him. Christian has good qualities but he also has flaws, ” a
KV Mechelen insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He has to make sure the next weeks that his qualities are more important than his flaws.”
Ighodaro has started only three games for KV Mechelen since the season started, while he has come off the bench five times.
