USA U20 Coach Starts Running The Rule Over Estoril Striker Payne
Published: April 04, 2017Estoril striker Stephen Payne has been named in the United States U20 Men’s National Team squad announced by Head Coach Tab Ramos for a training camp ahead of this summer’s Fifa U20 World Cup.
The 19-year-old is among the six strikers that will be monitored by the coaching staff during the get-together that will hold in London April 3-10.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Payne is eligible to represent the Nigerian national teams through his parents.
The USA are in Group F play of the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and begin the tournament with a game against Ecuador on May 22 followed by Senegal (May 25) and Saudi Arabia (May 28).
Stephen Payne’s elder sister, Toni, penned a professional contract with Ajax Amsterdam in February.
