Senegal Star Mane Beats Nigerian Winger To Liverpool Goal Of The Month
Published: March 08, 2017Senegal international Sadio Mane scored Liverpool’s most eye-catching goal in February, the Reds supporters have decided in a poll conducted by the official website.
The beautiful goal scored by England youth international of Nigerian descent Sheyi Ojo against Tottenham Hotspur U23s had been in the running for the award.
After the votes were collated, Ojo finished in third place behind the two goals scored by Mane in the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on February 11.
Ojo, 19, has two appearances for the first team of Liverpool in the current season, both coming in the FA Cup against Plymouth.
Sadio Mane is expected to be named in the Senegal squad that will face Nigeria in an international friendly on March 23.
