Prolific Watford Striker Prefers To Represent England Ahead Of Nigeria For The Time Being
Published: March 07, 2017Watford Ladies sensation Rinsola Babajide has hinted that she prefers to represent the England youth teams rather than Nigeria for the time being.
The highly-rated striker is currently with the England U19s squad at the La Manga tournament and found the back of the net as the Young Lionesses thrashed the Netherlands 5-0 on Sunday.
“It’s a big honour to get selected to play for my country, and the atmosphere in the camp is amazing considering we’ve all come from different clubs, ” Babajide told watford.fawsl.com.
“It’s a great honour to contribute towards a win by getting on the scoresheet and I’m just looking ahead to our final game against Italy now.”
Babajide, who used to play for Millwall Lionesses, turned out for the U18 national team of England before she was promoted to the U19s in 2016.
