Nigerian Trio To Miss League Cup Final Between Man Utd & Southampton
Published: February 26, 2017Three Nigerian talents will not be on parade at Wembley on Sunday evening when Manchester United face Southampton in the final of the League Cup.
Nigerian-born midfielder Tosin Kehinde and American-born defender Matthew Olosunde were not in the Red Devils traveling party to London, so are definitely not available for selection.
The two 18-year-olds are very important members of Manchester United’s U23 squad, but manager Mourinho has decided to play a strong team against Southampton.
Former Arsenal schoolboy Olufela Olomola is unlikely to be available for Southampton despite being the top scorer for the U23 squad in Premier League 2.
The 19-year-old has been included in the Saints 18-man squad for competitive fixtures four times this season.
