Super Eagles Coach Gets Huge Injury Boost Ahead Of Naming Of Squad
Published: February 25, 2017Osmanlıspor striker Umar Aminu is back in contention to be named in the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming friendly between Nigeria and Senegal.
Having missed the last five games played by his Turkish club in all competitions, including two crucial Europa League games versus Olympiakos, Aminu is set to resume full training with the first team next week, allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed.
One of coach Samson Siasia’s favourite pupils, the Dream Team VI star has not been called up to the national team since the appointment of Gernot Rohr six months ago.
Aminu earned his four international caps to date in quick succession, in games against Egypt (2), Mali and Luxembourg, spread over two months.
The 21-year-old was a bonafide star in the Flying Eagles squad of 2013.
