Obi Mikel Off To Japan For Pre-Season Tour With Tianjin Teda
Published: February 15, 2017Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel was in Tianjin Teda’s traveling party to Okinawa, Japan for their last stage of pre-season preparations, ahead of the start of the 2017 campaign.
The first part of pre-season training took place in Marbella, Spain before the squad traveled to South Korea, where they held a get-together for two weeks.
While in Okaniwa, Tianjin Teda will face two unnamed opponents in warm-up matches.
The team’s preparation for the Chinese Super League opener against Shandong Luneng does not tick the right boxes, having lost eight straight games and conceding 24 goals.
Mikel and his teammates will have two workouts in Okinawa on Wednesday afternoon.
