England Duties Stop Tottenham Defender Eyoma From Facing Brighton
Published: February 11, 2017Tottenham Hotspur central defender Timothy Eyoma is not in contention to face Brighton in the U18 Premier League on Saturday, February 11 due to international commitments with England.
The 17-year-old is presently in Portugal with England U17s squad for the Algarve Tournament and started Friday’s 1-0 loss to Portugal in their opener.
Eyoma previously defended the colours of England U16s prior to his promotion to the U17s at the start of this season.
He is the only player of Nigerian ancestry that has been included on Steve Cooper’s 21-man roster for the competition in Portugal, where the Young Lions will face Portugal , Germany and the Netherlands.
Eyoma has made two appearances off the bench for Tottenham in Premier League 2 this term.
