Tricky Arsenal Midfielder Iwobi Named In Premier League Young Team Of The Season
Published: February 09, 2017American broadcaster ESPN has revealed its Premier League Young Team of the Season, with Super Eagles attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi making their ceremonial eleven.
Based on performances so far, Iwobi was selected among the top five young midfielders in the English top-flight.
In a 3-5-2 formation, the Hale End Academy product starts in midfield alongside Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli, Harry Winks, Tom Davies, Leroy Sane and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
“The Nigerian has a trick or two up his sleeve, as might somebody who is the nephew of Jay-Jay Okocha, and links play up well between midfield and attack, ” ESPN wrote.
Iwobi, 20, has recorded 30 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions this season, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists.
