Oxford United May Unleash 18-Year-Old Nigerian Goalkeeper Against Newcastle United
Published: January 27, 2017Young Nigerian goalkeeper Emmanuel Agboola is in line to make his competitive debut for Oxford United on Saturday when they tackle Newcastle United in the Emirates FA Cup.
The official website of The Yellows is reporting that the 18-year-old has been recalled from his loan spell at North Leigh as cover for Simon Eastwood.
Oxford United are facing a goalkeeper crisis ahead of the home game against the Magpies at Kassam Stadium, with Jack Stevens cup-tied while Benji Buchel is struggling to overcome a knee injury.
Agboola posted three shutouts during his loan spell with North Leigh and helped the club register seven wins.
