Five Nigerian Wonderkids In Contention To Sign New Contracts With Arsenal
Published: January 24, 2017Five players of Nigerian descent are in contention to be offered new deals by Arsenal ahead of the 2016-2017 season.
The Gunners youth-team expert Jeorge Bird is reporting that the Emirates outfit are set to make a decision on the promising Hale End Academy products to offer scholarship deals.
The five Nigerian talents being considered include : Arthur Okonkwo, Joshua Dawodu, Xavier Amaechi, Folarin Balogun and James Olayinka.
Okonkwo is a goalkeeper, Dawodu is a defender and the remaining three teenagers are midfielders.
The scholarship deals will be activated on July 1, 2017.
