After Elimination From AFCON, Algeria Coach Vows To Qualify For World Cup Ahead Of Nigeria

Cup of Nations in Gabon following a 2-2 draw with top favourite Senegal
on Monday night.
Before the game, Georges Leekens’s team had to beat Senegal and pray that Tunisia lose to Zimbabwe, if they are to qualify for the knockout rounds.
Following the elimination of the Desert Foxes, their Belgian tactician is optimistic that they will qualify for the World Cup despite trailing the Super Eagles by five points after two rounds.
“We did not start the qualifiers against Cameroon and Nigeria, it was before me, but we will not let go, our chances are still intact, ” said Leekens.
Algeria will host Nigeria in their final group game in the first week of November .
