Manchester City Coach Delighted With Nigerian Wonderkid Iheanacho
Published: May 01, 2016Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini has showered praise on Kelechi Iheanacho following his brace against Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday.
With several stars rested for the upcoming meeting in the Champions League against Real Madrid, the Nigeria international was handed a starting berth and he repaid the faith of the coach by getting on the score sheet.
“It’s very important for a player to score goals. I was happy with the way he played today.
“I’m happy for him with the goals that he scored,” said Pellegrini to the official webpage of Man City, mcfc.co.uk.
Iheanacho has seven Premier League goals to his name this season and only the Argentine star Aguero has scored more for the club.
