Leon Balogun To Watch From The Stands Mainz Next Three Games
Published: April 28, 2016Leon Balogun has been banned for three games by the German Football Association (DFB) following his misconduct in the Bundesliga clash between Mainz and Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, April 24.
The Nigeria international had hit his right knee in the stomach of Carlos Zambrano which was overlooked by referee Referee Felix Zwayer.
But the DFB reviewed the incident and found Balogun guilty of misconduct and he will now miss the remainder of the 2015-2016 season.
Mainz’s last three games this term are against Hamburg(April 30), Stuttgart (May 7)and Hertha BSC (May 14).
The Rhineland-Palatinate-based outfit can appeal the decision within 24 hours.
