Sheyi Ojo, Jordon Ibe In Liverpool 20-Man Squad For Europa League Tie Vs Villarreal
Published: April 28, 2016Jordon Ibe and Sheyi Ojo may be in action on Thursday night when Liverpool trade tackles with Villarreal in a Europa League semi-final game at El Madrigal.
The two youngsters, who are eligible to represent Nigeria, were part of the 20-man squad that traveled to Spain on Wednesday, and it remains to be seen if they would be given a run-out against the Yellow Submarine.
Of the last seven matches played by Liverpool in the Europa League, Ibe has managed only nine minutes of game time which came in their goalless draw with FC Augsburg on February 18, whereas he started four out of the first five group matches.
On the other hand, Ojo is yet to debut for the Reds in this competition though he made the bench in the last game against Borussia Dortmund and has been involved in three of the last four games in the Premier League.
Portugal youth international Tiago Ilori was not in the traveling party to the Spanish coast.
