Nicky Ajose Voted Top Player At Swindon Town,Named Third Best In League One
Published: April 22, 2016Swindon Town striker Nicky Ajose has been named among the top 15 players in the Sky Bet League One by the Football League following the award ceremony that took place last weekend.
The former Manchester United youth-teamer was the only Swindon Town player that made the list and finished as high as third position in the ranking released.
The Robins are definitely out of contention for a playoff spot with three matches left in the regular season, but Ajose has shone this term and is currently the top scorer in the third-tier with 22 goals to his name.
The 24-year-old Ajose was earlier named in The Football League’s Football Manager Team of the Season at The Football League Awards 2016.
The list of the top 15 players in League One was compiled after the managers in the division submitted their votes.
