Tottenham Hotspur Target Lookman Delighted To Win LFE Apprentice Of The Year
Published: April 19, 2016Charlton Athletic teen sensation Ademola Lookman has expressed his joy at winning the Championship’s LFE Apprentice of the Year 2016 at the Football League Awards.
Last season, Lookman starred for the U18 squad of the Addicks which earned him a promotion to the first-team squad in the ongoing campaign and he has maintained the lofty standards.
“This is a great honour for me and my family to be recognised for such a prestigious award,”Lookman said, according to cafc.co.uk.
“Charlton has a great reputation for producing young players and I’d like to thank the club and all of the staff for mentoring me, supporting me and giving me the platform to play first-team football.
“If I look at the position I was in last year, I never would have thought that I would be where I am today. This is a very proud moment for me.”
The likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton,Crystal Palace and Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation of the 18-year-old Lookman.
