Portland Timbers DP Adi Still In The Spotlight,Makes MLS Team Of The Week
Published: April 19, 2016Portland Timbers Designated Player Fanendo Adi has been named to the Team of the Week in Major League Soccer.
The 25-year-old hopped off the bench to net twice in the Timbers 3-1 victory over San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, bringing his total goals in 2016 to six.
In a 4-3-3 formation, Adi led the attack alongside Giovani dos Santos(LA Galaxy) and Fabian Castillo(FC Dallas).
This is the second time this season that the Nigerian has made the MLS Team of the Week as he also earned a nod in Week Three.
Fanendo Adi netted his 11th career brace against San Jose Earthquakes at Providence Park.
