Marc Bola Celebrates New Deal By Helping Arsenal Beat Newcastle In U21 Premier League
Published: April 08, 2016Nigerian defender Marc Bola played the entirety of Arsenal U21s 3-1 win over Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night.
The tie against the Magpies was Bola’s 26th appearance of the season for the youth teams of Arsenal across all competitions, with 15 of those games in the U21 Premier League.
Goals from Dan Crowley,Mavididi and Serge Gnabry secured the win for the Gunners, while an own goal was registered for Krystian Bielik in the 27th minute to give the visitors hope which faded as the game progressed.
On Thursday, Arsenal revealed via their official webpage that Marc Bola has put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the club.
The 18-year-old is a product of the Hale End Academy which produced Nigeria international Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom.
