Hull City Boss Says Referee Made The Right Call Over Dismissal Of Odubajo
Published: April 06, 2016Hull City manager Steve Bruce has reflected on his side’s 4-0 loss to Derby County in the Championship on Tuesday night and reckons that the referee made the right call sending off wing-back Moses Odubajo.
The England youth international took the walk of shame in the 55th minute of the contest at IPro Stadium for bringing down Tom Ince.
“The referee couldn’t wait to give it, running straight up with his hand in his back pocket,” said Bruce to Hull City’s official website.
“Whether our goalkeeper would have got to the ball first is debatable but if it had been the other way round, I would probably have been shouting for a red card.
“It was disappointing because any chance we had of getting back into the game was lost with that.”
Odubajo has been handed a one-match suspension and will not be available for selection when the Tigers face Huddersfield on Saturday.
