Kogi FA Congratulates Governor Bello Over Confluence Feat in Keta Beach Soccer Cup

congratulated the state governor Yahaya Bello over the state team’s feat
in 2016 Keta Beach Soccer Cup in Ghana.
Nigeria’s representative finished as first runners up at the second edition of the inter continental beach soccer event held at the Aborigine Beach Resort pitch in Keta that featured six teams from Ghana, Nigeria and Togo.
According to Isah, the support of the governor was commendable seeing the glory the state has accrued from the beach soccer event and underscored his desire to empower youths through sports, especially football.
He assured the governor of the state FA’s resolve to ensure more laurels are won in football at various level to make the state proud.
Meanwhile, Isah urged the governor to use his good office in securing sponsorship from Alhaji Aliko Dangote, owner of Obajana Cement Factory in promoting sports as avenue for youths empowerment.
He believes the burden of sponsorship sports in beyond the government and appeals for individual and corporate partnership to harvest and harness talents in the state.
Isah’s led FA board is currently staging the annual state Federation Cup while the second edition of the Kogi FA U13 Boys championship taking place in few days.
While the eventual Federation Cup finalists will represent the state in the 2016 national Federation Cup, winner of the U13 tournament will qualify to represent the state at the finals of the 2016 Channels TV Kids Cup.
