Tottenham Hotspur Winger Oduwa Shows Flashes Of Brilliance In Nigeria Debut
Published: March 25, 2016Tottenham Hotspur starlet Nathan Oduwa made his international debut for the Nigeria U23s on Thursday night in their shock 1-0 victory against their Brazilian counterparts at the Estádio Kléber Andrade.
If there was any doubt surrounding the future of the winger, it was put to rest yesterday when he stepped out onto the pitch in the closing minutes as replacement for Anderlecht loanee Imoh Ezekiel.
Oduwa showed glimpses of his potential in the few minutes he was in action but was not rewarded with a goal on his debut, with Nigeria playing defensively in order to protect a first-half lead.
The Londoner had 12 caps in total for the youth teams of England prior to making his maiden appearance for Nigeria.
The 20-year-old Oduwa is set to return to Spurs after his loan spell with Colchester United.
