We Are Balanced To Beat El-Kanemi, Says Ilechukwu
Published: March 12, 2016
Head coach of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has said his wards are balanced to edge visiting El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri, in Match Day 6 of the Nigeria Professional Football League coming up this Sunday at the Agege Stadium.
The Borno Warriors won their first league match against the reigning League Champions, Enyimba International FC of Aba, with a resounding two nil victory at the Kakanda Stadium in Kastina last weekend.
They are full of confidence coming into this game but the MFM FC gaffer is not bothered with the visitors form.
Fidelis disclosed in an interview on Friday that, “I know they are motivated because of their 2-0 win over Enyimba FC in their last home game, I know that they have prepared for this game, but we also played a goalless draw with Ikorodu United FC, so I’m not bothered about their form.”
The youthful manager insisted that “We will beat El-Kanemi Warriors, we are balanced to beat them because we have prepared so well for this game, and psychologically we are balanced as well, so I believe my wards will come out victorious at the end of 90 minutes on Sunday, by God’s grace.
“For now, we can’t afford to lose or draw any game be it home or away because our fans will not be happy with us, so we will do everything humanly possible to beat Elkanemi,” Ilechukwu concluded.
The Olukoya Boys occupy the third position on the league standing with 10 points from a possible 15 in the six-week old NPFL season.
A win against the Maiduguri-based team will take MFM FC to the top of the table for the second time this season.
