Kelechi Nwakali, Rep CLAIM Golden Eaglets Skipper Has Penned Five-Year Arsenal Deal
Published: February 29, 2016Nigeria U17 international Kelechi Nwakali has claimed that his transfer to English Premier League club Arsenal is now in the bag.
It is understood that the central midfielder made the declaration on Sunday at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Eziobodo, during a thanksgiving service.
The Golden Eaglets skipper traveled to London in January to undergo trials with Arsenal and it appears he was successful at the end of the exercise, if we are to believe his words hook, line and sinker.
“Kelechi Nwakali, Chukwudi Agor(jersey number 12) and Ebere Osinachi (jersey number 17) all belong to ASJ Academy,” CEO ASJ Academy Emeka Amajiriaku briefly told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Kelechi has signed a five-year deal with Arsenal. I won’t be able to mention the exact transfer fee but it is above two million pounds.”
Kelechi Nwakali was linked with possible moves to teams based in Greece, Portugal and Italy after displaying his wares at the Fifa Under 17 World Cup, where he emerged as the best player of the tournament.
The five-year deal agreed by Kelechi Nwakali and his representatives will be activated when he clocks 18 in the summer.
