Obafemi Martins Makes Debut For Shanghai Greenland Shenhua
Published: February 20, 2016Super Eagles star Obafemi Martins made his debut for Shanghai Greenland Shenhua in their 4-2 victory over South Korean K League Classic side Jeju United in a pre-season friendly.
Fourteen minutes from time, Martins replaced Cao Yun but there was no debut goal for the former Seattle Sounders sensation.
The 31-year-old arrived the team’s training camp in South Korea on Wednesday and participated in one training session before he was handed his debut by manager Gregorio Manzano on Friday.
Demba Ba, Bi Jinhao ,Wang Yun and Fei Xiong were on target for Shanghai Greenland Shenhua.
Obafemi Martins has penned a 1+1 year contract with the three-time Chinese Super League champions.
